Im not saying this is a bad thing but I can't seem to keep this dude off the site.
Whether you know him as Tony, theIMAGERY, or VRGO you know his name. If not you better get used to it. He was posted on here last month for your Daily Dose with his song "Bitch"
The song I'm giving you today is just as dope as the last one.
Immature is pretty much just a song that Tony wrote while he was pissed. He said himself that the lyrics are lame, but it works perfectly fine because I love this song. He pretty much just dogs some chick that was being really immature. Make sure you listen to this. If you dont like the lyrics Im sure you will like the beat because it's hard as hell.
The Fresh Meat I'm throwing at yall today is Tae Harlem. He's got a voice that is hard to forget.
His flows are heavy hitting to go right along with the dope beats he uses. He's lowkey got a Chief Keef feel to him in my opinion, but also of course he has his own too.
The video I found is slightly old, but I've listened to the song a bunch of times. Other than the video Im giving you Im gonna give you the link to his mixtape "FlyyNi99a DopeFlow"
It starts off with Tae Harlem spitting without anything in the background which was basically what made me want to listen to more and see what else he could bring to the table.
What do you think? Make sure you check this dude out.
Tae Harlem ft. Ripp Flamez &McFly Millz - DopeNiggasOnAPlane
The tape is full of dope ass songs. Every song has a hard beat and ill rhymes to go right along with it. Make sure you at least listen to this mixtape because its one to remember.
He's been hiding from us for a little while but he's back.
With him being back comes good and bad news.
The bad news is, the song / video he released today is not even 2 minutes long.
The good news is, we got a new song / video AND a "sorry for the wait" type thing.
First the video; With it only being a minute and fifty two seconds, the shit is dope. Between the beat, Bankies flow, and the video you can't help but to want to watch it more than once.
Make sure you check this joint out.
Bankie decided to throw together 36 songs (old-er and new) and put them on a mixtape for us. Featuring songs that you may have heard before such as, Numbers, Pussy Got U Hooked, and Nutcase . I haven't listened to the ENTIRE thing but Im slowly but surely working on it. Make sure you download it.
Also, I just thought I'd let you all know that he's been working on a new project which you gotta keep a look out for titled Red Bible.
When I told you this girl was going to blow up I was not playing one bit.
She gives us a little taste of what could be called R&B electronic soul Lorine has a angelesque, unique and powerful voice that instantly turns you into a fan of Ms. Chia.
In early November she gave us a video for her song "Crazy Things" As soon as I saw this visual I lost my mind. Its simple and lowkey trippy. Lorine is one of the most creative females out there and she puts her everything into her work. I promise that you'll love this video.
Have you ever heard of Chance The Rapper? If not look him up, he's pretty nice.
Anyways; Lorine joined forces with him and made a track called "Living In Vain" which is one of the most soulful songs I've heard in a while. She also had the chance to go out to Chicago to perform the song along side of Chance The Rapper. Check out the song below.
Since she released her self-titled project to introduce herself to the world on Thanksgiving I've seen nothing but her name. From features in Complex to just blowing up my twitter, you can tell that everyone loves her.
I got the opportunity to get a hard copy of "Lorine" and Im honestly super happy I did cause I love the cover and back art. Having a hard copy is always awesome to have. Make sure you download Lorine, this project is definitly something you will want. Its great to just sit back and vibe out to.
I'm sure you've heard this first joint either on the radio or from your friends. If not, catch up. Back in July, Tezo dropped a video for the song he did with Kenn Ball "Dinner Date" the infectious beat is definitely what pulls you into this song, not to mention the hook that you can't forget. Check it out below.
The next video Im gonna give you guys is more recent. Late November, last week to be exact, Tezo's visual for his song 'Last Night" snatched the opportunity to premier on Complex. This tracks instrumental has more of a creepy / eerie feel to it but thats the thing that I like the most about it. The visual goes perfect with the song no doubt. Check this one out too.
Last, but not least I give you Tezo's newest mixtape "Work". This project has 14 tracks that do nothing but keep you wanting more and more and more. Make sure you listen to this tape all the way through because every single song is amazing. Continue to keep your eyes on our guy Tezo because he's putting in Work and you'll most likely be seeing his name more. Whether you like it or not.
Usually I wait a little while to post up for new mixtapes but I was a little too excited for this.
We have been following DK since their "Outside The Box" EP. Whether it was each persons indiviual projects being featured or a Dope Kulture mixtape..we've kept you up. Its awesome as hell to watch a group grow the way these dudes have. I constantly told you to look out for the Kulture. I told you to keep your eyes on them and look at them now!
Enough of my little sap moment...
PTE2 has been out for about a half hour now and already has about 850 views.
Meaning y'all ARE fucking with it
You can seriously find everything that you'd want in a mixtape on this project.
I've been listening to the tape while putting this post together and I've yet to skip a track or even slightly dislike one. I'm telling you now, if you're sleeping on these dudes its time to wake up because they are a group of the illest in Cleveland.
Their flows, their creativity, their talent. What's not to love about the Kulture!?
Download the tape right now. I don't care what you plan on doing once you're done reading this. Click the link and download the tape. After you download it sit your ass down and listen to it.
I double dog dare you to tell me this isn't dope as hell.
annnnd waiting for Uncle JuJu to release his anticipated project "yoUiNCLE"
He's playing with our emotions. BUT there are a few good things about the wait, he's been leaving us with some presents I guess you could call them.
Waay back in May JuJu dropped a song for us that will be on yoUiNCLE "jujuate" If you haven't downloaded that do it now, because that song is the shit.
I literally listen to it at least twice a day.
In September he released a video for his song "All A Nigga No's" which was directed by Purple Films. To me, the video has a sort of "A day in the life of JuJu" vibe. The visual is too awesome.
Make sure you check that out as well.
In early November (This month obviously) He dropped a 3-track "Sorry for the wait" type mixtape with Goldface Moneywatch "10 G Envies". It is dope as hell. The first song, "Dee Rose", will steal your heart, its my favorite out of the three. Download it and I promise you won't be disappointed.
The last little present Uncle JuJu left us with was the back art / track names of yoUiNCLE.
I'll let you soak all this in.
Watch the video. Download jujuate. Download "10 G Envies".
Don't worry! As soon as he drops the tape I'll put you all on.
You're gonna see how hard I'm slacking right now haha.
I'm gonna toss another Varsity nigga at you.
You've heard of him, you've seen him on the site. He's dope. You get it right? Good.
Back in July Fly Ellz dropped his tape "The LGND Project" which was obviously featured on the site.
Back in September Fly Ellz decided to make a video for one of my FAVORITE songs off the tape.
The Craft.
Number one, the beat for this song is ill. I've probably mentioned it hella times before this but oh well. The video is simple Ellz and a couple of his friends just kickin it by some train tracks.
Oddly enough, you wouldn't think that it would fit with the song just hearing about it but the two work great together.
Now..if you do not have The LGND Project...download it now. Seriously. Its soo worth it and its free. Duh.
I'm gonna just stop now and let you all watch the video.
ChILLs' flow is honestly one of a kind, its real nice though. Something new for you bump.
If you like chill music this dude is one to listen to. He's currently working on a project which should be dropping soon so I'll make sure I get that up here when it does. But for now I'll leave you his newer song DELUXE and a somewhat older song "Standard"
Make sure you give this Freshie a chance because I have a strong feeling his mixtape is gonna be dope.
It's been a while since this next dude has been featured on the site and he changed his name so you might not remember him, but that's what I'm here for. To keep you up to date.
Tony was featured before as just a producer which is something he is fantastic at doing might I add. Today I'm gonna give you a new song he released yesterday with a cool ass chick named Joey featured on it.
I'm not going to lie, when I first listened to this song I spazzed out a little too hard, because I've heard the beat he made and was hoping he'd do something dope with it. There's another song he dropped not that long ago which is just as dope. If you like chill-er music then his music is what you want to get ahold of.
Now I know y'all didnt forget our favorite fellas from the Heights, Dope Kulture right?
If you did...get ya shit together.
Moving along, these guys have still been doing the damn thing if you weren't informed.
They've release a couple new tracks, WiseGuy dropped a new video for BigHeadBlowDown , they performed a few more times, anddd are working on new projects. *Cough Cough* Press To Enter 2.
First; lets talk about ProCools new song. It just dropped yesterday. And let me tell you, I've listened to this shit so many times. Call it music, call it poetry, whichever you choose you can't deny that it's ill. ProCool always knows what words to pick to steal and keep your attention throughout the entire song. Listen to it. Download it. I dare you to try and tell me that the song isn't amazing.
(Oh and btw, he's gonna be dropping a new project soon.)
Next; everyone who's been to a DK concert / performance will tell you that these dudes know how to put on a show. About a month ago (I could be wrong haha) I went to a show at Peabodys where a bunch of Clevelanders performed their music and whatnot and I promise you that the place didn't really get hype until Dope Kulture hit the stage. If you still haven't been to a DK show your next chance is coming soon!
They're going to be opening for Camp Lo December 7th at the Grog Shop so BE DEAH!!!! Its a Friday y'all won't have shit else to do anyways so go and have a great time.
Okay, so I've somewhat got you up to date on what these fellas have been cooking up. Make sure you download anything you haven't yet. Go to DopeKulture.com if you wanna kind of keep tabs on the guys. Follow them on twitter. Be on the look out for Press To Enter 2 and GO TO THE SHOW ON THE 7TH!
So I've been mad busy. I want to first apologize for not keeping up with the site for a few months. I promise that starting today I'll try my best to at least have 4 new posts each week.
I've got some good shit for you all today so keep your eyes peeled :)
The Kulture Kampaign has begun. You see that picture up there right? You remember when I told you all that Dope Kulture was going to do big things right? I was not lying!
A few months after finding out that it was too late to get a slot to perform at the Ohio Hip Hop awards, they were notified that they were nominated for The Best New Group of 2012.
Now this is where you come in. Go onto the Ohio Hop Hop Awards website and vote Dope Kulture for Best New Group. Here's the best part; you can vote once every 24 hour time period MEANING every day you should be a fantastic person and put your vote in for Dope Kulture. The voting ballot is a little long, because it does have other categories, but it shouldn't take more than 4-5 minutes.
Now of course, there are other Clevelanders that have been nominated in the OHHA such as;
Now in case you don't know who Dope Kulture is I have a few words for you. Number one, shame on you. Number two, I'm gonna school you really quick. Dope Kulture is a group of Clevelands best, no lie. Every mixtape they have released has not disappointed me. I'm not the only person saying this either. Every person in The Kult brings something different and thats what makes them such a favorite of mine. Now, their performances? Phenomenal. The energy that these guys bring to the stage is so awesome. I've said it before, I'll say it a million times more, Dope Kulture is going to do huge things!
Remember Sicksteen? If not, he was featured on the site a while ago with DJ A Yeag.
Well anyways, Sicksteen hooked up with this dude Lil Star and dropped this ill ass song called "Bout Dat Life" You need something to Turn Up to? This is your song right here. Even if you just wanna wild out a little bit, turn this song on and turn it up.
I'll leave you twitter links of course, the video, and the link to Lil Stars mixtape.
Excuse my french, but what the fuck do y'all know about Dope Kulture?!
This group of dudes are ill as hell, I've said it so many times, I don't think that I'll be able to ever say it enough. On top of that, they have yet to put something out that I don't like.
It's been a minute since they dropped their latest project Kulture Fever but it's okay, I gave you your warning about it releasing. You had your chance to find it yourself. Now, if you still don't have this mixtape anywhere, whether its your iPod, phone, grandmothers computer, whatever, we have beef.
Kulture Fever is so far my favorite Cleveland project that has been released this summer. The samples they used fit their flows perfectly, and the way they just put the entire project together is mind blowing. But yet again, it shows you why Dope Kulture is one of the best groups to come from the Heights.
Besides the mixtape The Kult has been on the grind. From concerts to their new website. They were even recently featured on Leak Jones 8, a mixtape hosted by DJ Corey Grand &DJ EV that has songs from A$AP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T, Tezo, etc.
I've been telling you from the beginning keep your eyes on The Kult because they're about to make history.
So I'm back again. With more dope shit, more artists that are being slept on, more talented Clevelanders.
Granted this next artist has been on the site a few times, I can't just leave you hanging, I gotta keep you up on what he's been working on.
From time to time I get to hear some of the tracks that Kirk Stillz has been working on for his upcoming mixtape, and I promise you that it is going to be a fantastic project.
Your Daily Dose today isn't more than 2 minutes long but it automatically pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. Kirk Stillz stays on top of his grind and continuously releases some great stuff.
Released back July, here's your Daily Dose Cleveland. Counting Money - Kirk Stillz
&I can not wait till' you guys hear it &see the video.
This group of guys never ever ever cease to amaze me with the shit they do. The best part about them is if they release something new its not the same as something they've released before.
That's what makes DK so great, they always keep everyone on the edge of their seats.
But, moving on, they just dropped a video for their new song "Sucka Nigga" I think I've listened to it about 16 times since I got the link. It just gets better and better. Oh yeah, and KultureFever?
So its been about a week since The LGND Project dropped, if you haven't downloaded it yet you need to rethink what you're doing with your life. This mixtape is nothing but ill.
&In my opinion there isn't one bad song on the mixtape.
Fly Ellz clearly showed how talented he is on this project. The vibe throughout the whole thing is fantastic &the lyrics keeps you wanting more. I promise you that you will like at least three songs off of this mixtape.
If not, then you have all rights to hate me forever.
Download The LGND Project, Let Ellz know how dope this shit it, Push it on hella people.
Johnny Rockz and Mellow got together to give us a little something to jam to.
Its definitely something to bump for the summer. These two are some of the most talented dudes I've ever met forreal and can easily be put in that "Going real far" category
But, click the link to listen to and download the new song by Johnny Rockz &Mellow "Late Day Blazin"
We wouldn't dare to let you all fall asleep on anyone that has been featured on here, so lets fill you in.
Sometime soon, we're getting a new project from Lorine Chia.
You know, the chick with the insanely breathtaking voice.
Anyways, her debut project is titled "LOЯINE". She has released the tracklist, the cover, and a song "Crazy Things" (which is an amazing song by the way)
I'm not going to lie, I'm so so so excited for this to drop.
Lorine has been working so hard on this &I'm 150% positive that this is going to be a great project.
Tell your mom, tell your friends, make sure they tell their friends. Just let Ms. Chias voice be heard, she's going to make it so far.
I'm about 3 Months late on this, but they say its better late than never right?
Moving along, Mr. Johnny Rockz has been working hard as hell. From my knowledge, a while ago he dropped a song "Its Like Dat", made a remix to "Shot Caller" with Mellow, and THEN had the nerve to hop on a song with OGCase (Who will dropping a mixtape &we will make sure you get that). There's other stuff of course, but I'm just letting you all know that Johnny Rockz hasn't fell off, he didnt go poof, he's still here and he's still going hard. As usualy, you will get some links, and videos just so that you can stay up to date.
I've been hearing here and there that there's a possibility that he's going to be dropping a new mixtape sometime soon as well.
So this dude G'Bars dropped a song Cleveland Skyline, &its a really really dope song, no lie.
Who's G'Bars though? Well, he's a 19 year old Cleveland lyricist. Early July last year he dropped his mixtape Audio Addiction, then in September he dropped The Penitentiary. So he's been on his grind for a while now. His wordplay is ill, the way he puts his songs together definitely sets him apart from other Cleveland artists. Keep an eye out for this one because he's going to be making some big moves.
Our Weirdo this month has a sound of his own. Its mellow and woozy at the same time, but of course it still makes you want to listen to it nonstop. I've heard people say that he sounds like a mixture of Wu-Tang &Three6 Mafia. Personally I can't put him in any boxes because his sound is different, he sounds like himself.
SpaceGhostPurrp is another upcoming artist from Miami. This dude is forreal one of the coolest guys you can meet, from the way he just speaks on things such as the struggles in Miami to the love that he shows his fans. He has a good amount of mixtapes out right now, such as "NASA The Mixtape" ,"Blackland Radio 66.6 1991" , & "God Of Black" . Recently SGP released "Mysterious Phonk: The Chronicles of SpaceGhostPurrp" Purrp comes in clutch as hell. He never ever ceases to amaze me with the shit he does. He's worked with a bunch of different people and no matter who it is he drops some of the illest stuff. I'll leave you links, and a couple of his new videos. Make sure you check his shit out. I mean, either way you'll most likely be hearing more and more about him if you haven't already.
Here we love WiseGuy, he was one of the first artists featured on this site. He's always been on the top of his game. Now don't think that he's gone anywhere because he's still here, giving us some of the dopest shit we can find. Anways, back to the topic at hand. WiseGuy JUST released his new project ToTheTop Vol.1. I downloaded it, played the first song, and literally freaked out.
From the first few seconds of the first song, to the ending moments of the last song I was spazzing out. That's how good this mixtape is. It's been a while since we've heard a solo project from WiseGuy but this was totally worth the wait. But, like everything else, you won't fully believe me unless you check it out for yourself. Go ahead, don't be shy, download the tape I bet you'll fall in love.
Seriously, this dude is running up close to genius.
Need beats? Hit Joshy Cvstro up.
I double pinky promise you that you will not be disappointed in this guys talent. I've seen his name on a few of the songs that have been featured on this site and every track he has produced is dope. He's most recent beat was Birds In The Trap &that was what really stole my attention.
I'll keep you updated if he releases anything new because he's definitely going to be doing huge things with his skill.
You all know who Uncle Juju is. I'm sure you've heard of Brenden Pierre.
These two dudes came together to make this ill ass song "SlowedUP".
When I say this song is ill I mean it.
This is definitly a song that you can just lean to if you're on that. If you're not, roll a couple up, play this and chill. You're not on that? Well, just cut this on and I bet you'll still love it.
Anyways, I'm just gonna give you the link to listen to it and download it.
Pharaoh Londons flow is sick, its not really anything that we've had on the site yet, but I'm glad I've come across it because its amazing. In his songs he speaks on how he sees things, basically giving you a special way to take a walk in his shoes. This EP is nothing but outstanding. The entire thing is so well put together.
I'll let you see for yourselves though, click the link below, to listen &download the EP.
Trust me, you will not be disappointed in this.
